About protegas® - Company

In 2011, patent and IT experts got together aiming at providing inventors with a simple and legally secure defensive publication method. This resulted in protegas®, which offers the possibility of making publications on the basis of the online database solution www.protegas.com. In addition protegas® operates a technical library for the traditional defensive publication of an innovation by depositing it in a public library.

Elmar Hasler

Chairman of the Board of Directors

Elmar Hasler first obtained a diploma in engineering and subsequently completed vocational post-graduate studies in business administration and telecommunications. He has more than 25 years of professional experience in the IT field and has worked for IBM and other international companies in the USA and in Switzerland. After his return from the USA he joined an IT company in Liechtenstein where he took over its management in 1994 and built it up as an independent company. Since 2012 Elmar Hasler is an independent IT entrepreneur. As a founding member, he has been President of the Forum for Information and Communication Technology (IKT Forum) in Liechtenstein until the present day. Elmar Hasler founded elleta AG together with business partners and is one of the initiators of protegas®.

Christine Wohlwend

Chief Executive Officer, CEO

Christine Wohlwend obtained degrees in forensic sciences and financial controlling in Lausanne and Zurich. After her training, she worked in the German Federal Bureau of Investigations in Wiesbaden where she was responsible of the implementation of standards in forensic investigations, including the field of information technology. She represented the German Federal Bureau of Investigations in the Quality and Competence Committee (QCC) Board of the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes (ENFSI). Together with her European colleagues Christine Wohlwend developed basic principles in quality management. During 5 years Christine Wohlwend was then CFO of a Liechtenstein IT Company where she specialised in the processing of sensitive electronic data. In 2012 Christine Wohlwend, together with business partners, founded elleta AG and is one of the initiators of protegas®. In 2013 she took over the management of protegas®.

Ingrid Heinisch

Senior Relationship Manager

Ingrid Heinisch graduated at the HFT Swiss School in Chur focusing on the market positioning and business management of organisations in the tourism sector. After which she took on a leading function organising political events and state receptions of the Swiss federal government in an internationally renowned congress hotel in Bern. Returning to Liechtenstein she was for many years, operational manager building up an international trading company. In this function Ingrid Heinisch, amongst many task, focused on marketing of an innovative automated dispenser in the food industry and the accompanying patent issues. Since joining protegas® Ingrid Heinisch, in her role as Senior Relationship Manager, is responsible for the market expansion of the company.

Martin Sele

Chief Technology Officer, CTO

Martin Sele grew up in England where he completed his A-Levels and went on to complete his professional training to become a computer engineer in Liechtenstein and Switzerland. He has more than 12 years of professional experience in various sectors of the IT business. He was, amongst other functions, responsible for the operations of a complex IT infrastructure and has developed comprehensive IT concepts as a key account manager for medium-sized companies. Martin Sele speaks fluent English, German, Italian and Spanish.

Regina Wirtensohn

Chief Software Architect, CSA

Following her basic training in software engineering, Regina Wirtensohn successfully headed for several years the development of a comprehensive logistics software solution at Transflow. As a specialist in software and applications she has now, after 20 years of professional experience, covered all areas of software development from the conception up to its implementation and has comprehensive user knowledge in numerous technical fields. In 2003 she became managing director of VISION-FLOW Software GmbH. In this role, she crucially shaped the development of the DLE (Dynamic Logic Engine). The DLE is a modern process-oriented software development tool and forms the basis for the protegas® online database.

Georg Hollenstein

Software Development

Following his training at the commercial academy specialising in “Information management and information technology”, Georg Hollenstein worked for Wolford AG. His area of responsibility included the development and care of 13 international webshops as well as the corporate site of Wolford AG. In addition, Mr. Hollenstein led international IT projects throughout the company. Since 2011 he has been working at VISION-FLOW as a software engineer for the further development of the DLE and in this role was crucially involved in setting up the protegas® online database.  

Richard Dür

Software Development

During and after graduating from the Vorarlberg Technical University in “Information & Communication Engineering”, Richard Dür worked for various IT companies. Since 2004 he has been working at VISION-FLOW in software development. In this role he was involved in the development of the Process Engine DLE, helped to develop protegas® and worked on major international projects. Richard Dür also teaches commercial information technology at a commercial academy and at the Technical University of Vienna.
